Overview

The Umarex Throttle is the first air rifle to include the StopShox vibration reducing system. StopShox is a patent-pending, innovative device specifically designed to absorb shock, vibration and recoil in air rifles. It works in conjunction with a floating action to create a unique combination that systematically reduces the shock created by a break barrel air rifle's spring or gas piston power system. We set out to solve one of the most frustrating problems with powerful air rifles today - the amount of vibration and recoil. Modern pellet rifles powered by strong springs or gas pistons cause two recoils - one to the front and a second to the back. The Umarex StopShox system works in conjunction with a floating stock design to effectively minimize the negative recoil vibrations that cause shooter frustration. The Throttle combines this new recoil absorbing innovation with the Umarex ReAxis gas piston, SilencAir 5-chamber noise suppressor and the Umarex LockDown mount. It is available in either .177 or .22 caliber with all of these smooth operating innovations making it ideal for target shooters and small game hunters alike. Air Gun Safety and Legal Guidelines

• Assume every gun is loaded. Never aim at anything you do not intend to shoot, and keep the safety engaged until you are ready to fire.

• Load and cock only when ready to shoot. Never store or transport a cocked or loaded air gun.

• Identify your target and backdrop. Know what lies beyond your target before pulling the trigger, keeping the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.

• Wear eye protection. Anyone shooting or standing near the shooting area should wear approved safety glasses.

• Stay behind the shooter. Bystanders must remain behind the firing line. Never jump, climb, or cross obstacles while carrying an air gun.

• Prevent ricochets. Do not shoot at hard surfaces, flat ground, or water, as pellets can bounce off course unpredictable distances.

• Keep the barrel clear. Ensure the muzzle is free of debris, dirt, and obstructions, and never let the tip touch the ground.

• Unload and store securely. Before storing, remove the magazine, clear the chamber, decock the mechanism, and secure the gun out of reach of unauthorized users.

• Never display air guns in public. Brandishing an air gun in public causes panic, may lead to criminal charges, and can cause law enforcement to mistake it for a firearm.

• Do not alter the gun's appearance. Modifying paint, markings, or orange tips to resemble a real firearm is hazardous and illegal in many jurisdictions.
